Two Families claimed the same bridge to collect tolls from travellers. The problem was that people quickly got fed up with paying twice (once to get on the bridge and once to get back off) and each family blamed the other one for the situation. Long story short, the conflict escalated and the bridge was torn down but both families refused to move away.
